Symbolizing an innovative spatial layout concept, the "Holiday Home" caters to the shared moments of leisure holidays, where the demand for private space diminishes. With this in mind, the design optimizes living spaces by providing flexible layouts that adapt to various functionalities, significantly enhancing the efficiency of the residence.
During the day, the house transforms into a freely flowing open space, with large windows and open doors blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors, inviting the natural environment in.
As night falls, the living room's wooden panels can rotate 90 degrees to close off, transforming continuous public areas into private, secluded rooms. Beds can be converted into full-sized bedrooms, while hidden shower and washing areas merge to form complete bathrooms.
This flexibility in interior layout markedly increases the space's utilization efficiency, allowing areas typically used for daytime activities to convert into focused and efficient sleeping quarters at night.
Within the "Holiday Home's" compact structure, designers have successfully created a sense of openness and spaciousness. Bedrooms, study rooms, and skylights over the loft extend to windows that reach up to five meters above the terrace. The interior is adorned with light birch panels and movable slats, creating a balanced and harmonious spatial atmosphere. This design not only brings beautiful light and shadow effects but also adds a poetic touch to the materials.
The design ingeniously integrates various eco-friendly and sustainable measures: electricity is supplied by invisible solar panels installed on the roof; the high thermal mass of wood structures and concrete floors improves insulation for the roof, external walls, and windows; additionally, the residence features an excellent natural ventilation system. These strategies ensure the home's environmental performance and comfort.
In this holiday dwelling, no weather can disrupt the joyous holiday atmosphere. Against different climatic conditions, residents can find comfortable enjoyment indoors. When the wind rises, the terrace's adjustable slats effectively block the wind; during rain, the gentle tapping of rainwater on the roof creates a vivid and interesting scene; on clear days, the balcony becomes the perfect spot to enjoy the vast sky and gaze at the stars.
The walls and roof of the residence are prefabricated in the factory due to the irregularity of the components. All materials are pre-assembled in the factory to ensure accuracy before being disassembled into transportable units for quick on-site assembly. Once assembled, unique interior decoration elements are embedded within these prefabricated shells to complete the construction of the house.
